I am soooo disapointed that Megan lost last night. My only hope is that they bring her back as the Wild Card. She was so much fun to watch. Love her vocals.
Simon is nobody’s fool. All he needs is for one other judge to vote with him during the Wild Card Round. That will be at least Paula, who hearts Megan. Randy “kinda” hearts Megan. Karen, I don’t know, the “Package Star” reference felt lightly deprecatory, but the point is that unless the sky falls in before March 5, Megan will be in the final 12. She also has a career waiting for her on Broadway, regardless of whether the recording industry wants her. She would be fantastic in a revival of Crazy For You (Tony! Tony! Tony!). She’ll be back, and she’s a winner already!
Megan being booted is what is failing with American Idol. The show is not
representing true “remarkable” artists. Ones that will get really talked about and shared. They favor the predictable soul sister deep throat wails that once in the record stores, fall flat because they are not a total package. The voice is only PART of it. The winners have all been nice but forgettable. Their all on a straight shot to an elevator near you—compliments of Muzak! Yikes. Reward little Megan who delivered wit, charm, spunk and chops with complete honesty and real soul—her own.
A hotty, mommy, tattooed, full of style and by the way cannot only sing,
but has a gift of picking relevant hip material.
I love her! She is beautiful with true talent! I’m so happy she is a wild card. They didn’t show her much at Hollywood week so no one really got to no her. But she has an amazing voice. Vote for her!!!!!!
I disagree.
Megan does not have a good voice. There are so many singers that are her style that are so much better. And Von, Jesse and Matt ALL have better voices than she does. This show is rigged. Simon just thinks she is hot. Its annoying. And whats with the Joy being added now. She made the stupid mistake of keeping her ex husbands last name and now she is trying to cover it up. AGH. So frustrating. this show is rigged for sure.
She has an amazing voice. I am so tired of every single contestant having the exact same voice. Jesse has a pretty nice voice as well, but I can not believe that you would compare Von, Jesse or Matt to Megan. have you ever even see any of them sing? The closest voice to Megan was Frankie, and she is long gone. I can not wait for this girl to start recording.
she’s mediocre, let’s be honest. maybe she’d kill at karaoke night at the kansas city diner. but she’s basically another amy winehouse rip-off. but the other contestants are totally bland, at least she’s not a complete bore. the show has really gone to the dogs!

music producer.. i’m glad i’m not the only one who feels this girl is over-rated.. the girl sings 4 notes in a fake voice and adds an extremely odd “dance” and they think she’s brilliant??? give me a break.. the judges obviously can’t see beyond her face..
I just can’t see why Megan is in the top 13… I think the judges had already decided their favorites before the wildcard show even started. This girl just can’t hold a tune. She just kind of shouts her lyrics in an extremely un-melodious way. Anyone else who wouldn’t look as cute would have been dropped a long time ago–probably wouldn’t have made it through the auditions. What a joke. There were many others who deserved a place more than she did.

Haven’t heard a talent like hers since Edie Brickell or Leslie Feist. Not sure if she’ll win (not usually the “type” that wins on American Idol), however, I will purchase everything she records regardless. Great fresh new talent….

cmon people.. did anybody see her rockin robin rendition??? how in the world was that top 13 worthy??? stop listening to the judges tell you she’s current and hip and relevant and brilliant.. the girl has no rhythm.. limited vocal abilities.. and hasn’t done a damn thing since her first audition.. let’s try to reward the legitimately talented people..
Agreed! Thank you! Her quirkiness is ”fun” to amuse a 2 year old! All her songs are shouty and annoying and she has a range of 4 notes. If this was the “cutest, single mom” competition, I would vote for her!
must be someting wrong with me but i LOVE her vocals, find her delightful to watch, and the freshest thing in the comp. don’t care if she choose the whackiest song to sing…I find her whackiness really cool…AND I think she CAN sing…she has a powerful unique voice and I just think she’s awesome..
I absolutely love her vocals. She has that raspy, dusty jazz quality to her voice. That being said; she can’t dance to save her own life. She really needs to get some dance lessons and stop corkscrewing around like a washing machine agitator. The tat sleeve is a huge detraction for me personally, but she is cute and bubbly. I think she will make it a couple of more rounds, I hope so anyway, because she is fun to look at, (aside from the sleeve). In the end it will be Adam or Danny, but Megan will get a record contract so American Idol will not be the last place we hear from her.
When they give the contestants their choice of songs, Megan should sing Within Temptation’s All I need. She’d sound great.

Her lack of body rhythm looks like an 11 year old in school talent show.
Put her style/talent into a slightly unattractive body with a so-so face
and what you have is a tattooed semi-talented , but not world class,

I do not think that Megan’s voice is new or “current” as they say. She has an old timey jazzy lounge singer hint in her voice. Although she is unique, I find her voice to be very annoying. She is a beautiful girl, but I honestly do not see what all of the hype is about. Oh, and her “corkscrew” moves are absolutely appalling! Go Allison, Danny, Kris, Matt, and Adam!
I can’t believe that Megan has made it this far. There are so many people who deserved it more than her. She is amazingly beautiful, and she does have an interesting voice, but she doesn’t know how to use it. When she sings the ending lines often fall flat and come out as talking rather than singing. She has the most annoying stage presence I’ve ever seen. She constantly twists like a frustrated little girl, shakes her index finger back and forth (as though saying “No Way!”) no matter what the lyrics or feeling of the song are. Even when I think she’s going to do a good job her performance falls flat. I can think of at least a dozen people who should be in her position instead. She should have gone home a long time ago.
It is a free country Buy, listen to and enjoy her CDS .
My negative opinion is guaranteed by the Constitution,she is not going to come into the top 3. Other singers have better voices, more experience and better stage presence.

I think it is disgusting that megan has made it this far , let alone being in the top 10 so she can go touring i feel sorry for the contestants that have true singing talent , but seems a lot of people including the judges are in denial , open your ears people ,sick or not she cannot sing never could !!
This girl is AMAZING! Not only gorgeous but her voice is fantastic. I wish she would actually sing Doris Day’s version of Dream a little Dream of Me……she would perform it perfectly; I have NO doubt. She’s got that old-fashioned quality about her and so unlike all the same cookie cutter voices where you can’t tell one from the other……….ugh, BORING! Megan is a breath of fresh air when it comes to singing and I don’t even care if she does become the American Idol, just tell me if she records an album because I will be the first to buy it! And if she ever tours, I hope she comes to the UK where I’ll be there to watch her perform. All the best, Megan, Darlin’……..you give American Idol the sunshine it needs and you stand out among all the rest!

No doubt this lady is very pretty but wow I was surprised she had made it this far. I would honestly walk away from the t.v when she would come on because it just genuinely annoyed me hearing her sing. I agree, others deserved that spot more than she did but oh well. Obviously the viewers didn’t think she was worthy of being on the show anymore nor the judges and I think her ” I don’t care!” attitude didn’t help her much either!
I was sad to see Megan leave the show, but there is no doubt in my mind that she’ll make her way in the business and follow her own style of music. I love that about her and I would buy her music in a heatbeat. She is a very unique lady and I can’t wait to see where her music takes her. Hang in there gf, you are a star!

I think she is awesome myself! ” Turn your lights down low” was a hit for her. I thought it sounded better than Bob Marley’s version. She has a very unique voice and I think she could go a long ways with it. Voting her off was a huge mistake but this seasons American Idol is wacked anyways. They got rid of sum good singers and kept a few that to me just didn’t have what it takes to be a singer. Just my opinion. Remember to each his own!!
I think it’s funny that every week I’ve been so angry that Megan didn’t get voted off, but I honestly liked her performance of “Turn Your Lights Down Low”. Every week I roll my eyes if the judges compliment her. But this week I was shocked when they hated her performance. I’ve been an avid “please vote Megan off!” person, but I would have rather seen Scott go honestly. And if we’re just judging performances from Tuesday (not the entire show) she was one of the better ones. Lil Rounds (though she’s a great singer) was boring, Allison (who has been a favorite of mine since the beginning) was slightly off… I dunno… I for once saw why Megan was in the competition and then she got voted out… Sad face
