I wanted to let Kai know that my husband took care of his Mother too for 10 years when she was dying of Cancer. I did not know him then (he found out when he was about 10 years old) but that is the main reason I was attracted to him. It’s not often that a young person will take on such a hard role. We have been married for about 21 years now – so, your girlfriend will come and she should appreciate you!!

I cried the moment I heard Kai tell his story….what compassion, and love for you mother that you have. When you wiped the tear from your mothers face, I felt so overwhelmed with emotion. Being a mother myself, it filled my heart with joy to see such a connection between mother and child. Your voice is amazing, and the phone call you made to your mom after the audition made me smile from ear to ear. Its people like you that deserve to make it to the very top…we are rooting for you!!! After watching Kai’s audition and the footage of him and his mum I was deeply touched. Kai you seem to have a large heart and an old soul. Best of luck fro the competition, this old soul from a little country called Wales will be routing for you.
I thought Kai was the most authentic singer in the competition so far. I think Simon mistook how layed back he was for lack of confidence. To me Kai came across as a unique and genuine enough that I am actually interested in his performances. I wish I could see him in his element with his band.
Greatness is what I see in you. Your beautiful voice moved me. What happened to just being a great singer??? Isn’t it enough? You have shone like no other in my opinion with your stoic demeanor and brilliant sound. Much luck…you are, thus far, my favorite!

Kai, i have to say that from the first moment i saw u in the audition in Sanfransisco, i realize that i have found a new idol….Whatever u do i’ll always support u. I do want to share ur story…I’ve been through a really hard disease so i do know how ur mother feels and how sad u r…But Kai, plz keep faith…and never give up! We love u Kai…And we do know American idol is proud 2 have u too….

Hello Kai, First let me say that I admire you so greatly for the selflessness you show. I, too have seen the struggle that goes into caring for a sick loved one when my mother cared for my grandmother through her sickness. Sadly I lost my mother on Christmas Eve 2006 to a massive heart attack and I can also say that there is no greater pain. I would have given anything to be able to say goodbye. Regretably I was not the loving, caring daughter that I should have been and having said that, let me say that you are the perfect example of what I wish I would have been. As a single mother of two daughters I can think of no greater example of what a parent hopes to instill in a child. It is in your endearing eyes, in your soul and your beautiful smile. I wish you and your sweet mother all the best. My girls and I will be watching as you melt my heart with your timeless, smoothe voice.
I just find this man amazing, not only in his great looks, but his personality I can literally SEE, PLUS, how he takes care of his mother, with such love! I believe he said his mom suffers from a seizure disorder, & is not able to work? I’m not completely sure, but I also was diagnosed with a seizure disorder at the age of 13, back in 1985! & although they are controlled, there is still that fear of them that only a love like that can make better! Love you Kai…You are a special man! Not too many like YOU where I’m from here, in PA!!
