All 36 contestants will perform on the live shows starting Tuesday, February 17th 2009.

As Creative Director of VIMBY.COM and constantly exposed to vocalists and bands across the country daily from the best of the unsigned to the artists getting major pushes from established labels, Jamar Rogers has one of the most relevant and unique voices at this moment.
His style, personality and charm combined with his soulful voice put a refreshingly new twist on an old school sound. I’m extremely perplexed with the decision and can only assume that they have something on him that is forcing him to leave the show.
If that’s not the case, the judges and the producers have made a terrible decision. It’s clear Jamar is more talented than (at the very least) 30 of the others chosen… if not all.
Sorry judges. Just can’t take you serious from this point on. Jamar, reach out to me. We’ll showcase you on VIMBY so we can see more of you.

My family won’t be watching Idol this year. Turns out, it’s a comedy…and a bad one, at that. Your dismissal of Jamar was the most blatant poor judgement of talent we’ve ever seen. He’s the one who OBVIOUSLY stood out and was different, plus had a unique voice and range. You keep saying it’s a singing competition and he had the voice and the whole package. Your viewership, for the most part, will abandon you in droves for your sell-out to the drama-queens.

I cannot believe Jamar did not make it. What the heck were the judges thinking?!! There must’ve been a damn good reason why Jamar didn’t make it. 1) they were high on drugs 2) they were too preoccupied with their hemorrhoids and took their frustration out on Jamar or 3) their ears were bleeding from listening to Tatiana’s obnoxious laughter and annoying cries and pleas. Good lord, the blind can see Jamar’s talent. i think American Idol is trying to become one of the many stupid, trashy reality shows.
